Alliance française Chittagong
Founded in 1965 by a group of French and Bangladeshi citizens, member of World Alliance française network and cultural partner of French Embassy in Dhaka, Alliance Française Chittagong is a prestigious institution focusing on the promotion of the French and World cultures and the teaching of French language.
Thus, Alliance française Chittagong proposes French course for around 800 students per session and 2000 admissions per year. Students are children, teenagers and adults. Most of them study Arts, Political Sciences, Human Rights, Business, etc., building a project to continue their studies in France, to emigrate to Canada or to work as Blue Helmet in United Nations Organizations.
Alliance française Chittagong proposes also a rich cultural programmation, inviting regularly some of the most important international artists : the French-Iranian singer Ariana Vafadari, the pianist Shani Diluka, The contemporary music ensemble TM+, the Jazz singer Raphaëlle brochet, but also the best bangladeshi artists, such as Farida Parveen, Shoumen Das, Ashim Das, etc.
Alliance française Chittagong supports also social, economic and ecologic evolution of Bangladesh, helping notably Women and Minorities rights initiatives and projects focusing on sustainable development and renewable energy.
